David Seamus Kaskela, founder of the firm, has exclusively represented investors in securities fraud actions, corporate governance matters, and mergers & acquisition litigation, since entering private practice in 2006.
Prior to forming Kaskela Law LLC in 2018, Mr. Kaskela was associated with Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLP, one of the largest shareholder class action litigation firms in the country, for over a decade. While associated with Kessler Topaz, Mr. Kaskela gained significant experience in the investigation and litigation of high-profile stockholder actions. Notable cases that Mr. Kaskela worked on at Kessler Topaz include stockholder actions against Wachovia Corp. ($627 million settlement), Countrywide Financial Corp. (MBS) ($500 million settlement), Lehman Brothers ($616 million settlement), and Duke Energy Corp. ($146.25 million settlement).
Mr. Kaskela holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Saint Joseph’s University, M.B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, and J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
Mr. Kaskela is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Adrienne Bell joined Kaskela Law in 2022 after practicing as an associate at Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLP, one of country’s largest shareholder class action litigation firms, for more than a decade.
Ms. Bell’s practice focuses on class action securities fraud litigation, shareholder derivative litigation, and merger and acquisition litigation, through which she has helped to recoup hundreds of millions of dollars for investors.
Ms. Bell holds a B.A. in Music Theory and Composition from New York University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
