David Seamus Kaskela, founder of the firm, has represented investors for more than a decade.
In 2007, Mr. Kaskela joined Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLP, one of the largest shareholder class action litigation firms in the country, as an associate attorney. While associated with Kessler Topaz, Mr. Kaskela gained significant experience in the investigation and litigation of high-profile stockholder actions, including in the areas of shareholder class action litigation, stockholder derivative litigation, and merger & acquisition litigation. Notable cases that Mr. Kaskela worked on at Kessler Topaz include stockholder actions against Wachovia Corp. ($627 million settlement), Countrywide Financial Corp. (MBS) ($500 million settlement), Lehman Brothers ($616 million settlement), and Duke Energy Corp. ($146.25 million settlement).
Since forming Kaskela Law, Mr. Kaskela has focused exclusively on representing investors in securities fraud, corporate governance, and merger & acquisition litigation matters, and is Court-appointed counsel in numerous actions.
Mr. Kaskela holds an undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University, M.B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, and J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
Mr. Kaskela is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
